History

Crittenden County, Arkansas was established in 1825. It was named in honor of the first Secretary of the Arkansas Territory, Robert Crittenden. Crittenden County is located in the Memphis Metro Area. The county seat is Marion, and its largest city is West Memphis. West Memphis Blues is a famous song written by Sonny Boy Williamson II, a blues singer from West Memphis.
